Description

The purpose of this primer is to take a fresh look at the use of hydraulic analogues to aid understanding of the components of electrical circuits and the functioning of electric circuits. Coverage is limited to the passive components (e.g., resistors, and capacitors) and simple circuits of resistors and capacitors most frequently encountered and ones that are most amenable to hydraulic analogues.

The book is intended for use as a supplement to college-level Physics textbooks, and to graduate-level textbooks in the life sciences that assume that students have an understanding of electricity from their undergraduate Physics course. It will also be suitable for graduate students in the life sciences who use electronic instruments in their research.
